Lismore AFC 3-0 Innishvilla
A fantastic team performance from our Under 16s at home to Innishvilla, with Lismore in control throughout and delivering an excellent all-round display.
The opening goal came courtesy of Ben McCormack, who latched onto a superb through ball before delicately lifting it over the keeper to give Lismore a deserved 1-0 lead. The lads continued to dictate the game and went into the break firmly in control.
The second half saw more of the same, with the team demonstrating the importance of hard work, communication and pressing as a unit. That pressure paid off when Lee McCormack closed down the keeper, capitalised on a fumble and tapped into an empty net to double Lismore’s lead.
Ben McCormack then grabbed his second of the game, taking advantage of another defensive mishap before expertly slotting the ball into the bottom corner to make it 3-0 and seal an excellent victory.
A brilliant effort from every player, with hard work and teamwork at the heart of a very impressive performance.
