Safeguarding at Lismore AFC

Lismore AFC is committed to providing a safe, positive and enjoyable environment for all children and young people involved in football.

The welfare of every child is of paramount importance. We strive to create an environment where players can develop their football skills, build confidence, make friends and enjoy the game in a safe and supportive setting.

Lismore AFC adheres to the safeguarding policies, procedures and best practice guidelines of the Football Association of Ireland (FAI). All coaches, volunteers and committee members are expected to uphold the highest standards of conduct and to promote respect, inclusion and fair play throughout the club.

The Club Children’s Officer is the first point of contact for any safeguarding or child welfare concerns within the club.

Reporting a Concern

Any concern relating to the welfare or safety of a child should be reported immediately to the Club Children’s Officer.

All concerns will be treated seriously, sensitively and in accordance with FAI safeguarding procedures.
